GISH has changed the world and the lives of those who play.
But don’t take our word for it. Hear what Gishers have to say!

GISH is more than a week-long opportunity to have fun with your friends and our global community. Join the Hunt and you’ll also have opportunities to broaden your horizons and make the world a stranger and brighter place.

Does your band of weirdos have what it takes to out-play the rest? You could win our Our Grand Prize! It’s usually an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind bucket-list trip to a pre-announced destination. But due to the uncertainties of pandemic travel, our Grand Prize is an exciting MYSTERY PACKAGE custom-tailored with the Winning Team in mind!

Will you need to pack a swimsuit? A snowsuit? Or maybe you’ll need to be home to accept a delivery… You’ll find out when your team wins! But we can tell you this: this year’s Grand Prize will ALSO include a meet & greet with Misha Collins,* schwag, & a donation to your team’s favorite charity.

*in person or via Zoom, depending on pandemic conditions.

Click HERE or any of the many several buttons on this page when registration is open. We’re subtle. Registration is currently closed, so you missed the boat for the August Hunt if you’re not already signed up. But watch our social media for information on our next Hunt!

The GISH Annual Hunt takes place July 31 – August 7, 2021.

No! You & your team can play as much or as little as you like. Play for an hour, a day, the whole week, or 25 minutes and 13 seconds. It’s up to you!

Registration starts at $25.01 for a basic registration and full access to the entire Hunt.

If you like, you can upgrade to a Most Premiumerest Registration for special GISH schwag and perks including a special item from host Misha Collins! Every registration package helps support charity!

The GISH Hunt is the world’s largest virtual, online, global scavenger hunt. It takes place wherever you are! We have many thousands of participants in over 100 countries around the world. You can play anywhere — even in your own home.

The GISH Hunt is specially tailored with the pandemic in mind. We will provide lots of solo activities, and you can do Items using common household objects and supplies in your own home!

To be on a team, you have to be at least 14 years of age. But you can help your friends and family who are playing if you are underage. Adults need all the help they can get.

If you’re 14 — 17, get your parent or guardian to confirm you have permission & you can play!

YES. Join the Hunt and have your kids help you succeed! That is sort of the point of having kids, right? Getting them to help you conquer the world and win you prizes?

If they are 14+, they can be on your team. If under 14, they can be honorary members and don’t need to register, but will not be able to go on any trips or receive any prizes we offer.

We might be a little bit biased, but we’re pretty sure it involves being creative, weird & free, and playing for good. If you can do all that while dressed in recycled newspaper, you’re probably doing something right.

Yes and no. You can participate and complete Items on your own, but every GISH participant (“Gisher”) will be on a team.

You can build a team of your own with  friends and family, or go solo if you don’t have anyone you want to play with. Either way, we’ll make sure to join you up with new GISH Friends Forever (GFFs) on a dream team!

All teams will have between 9 — 15 players. But if you don’t know 8 people or more you want to invite, that’s okay! You can sign up solo or build a team with just one or two of your friends, and we’ll connect you & your friends with other players from around the world to make sure you have a full team.

We have two types of team categories: In It To Win It and Just For Fun.

Create a “Just for Fun” team if you want your team to be filled with low-key, zero-pressure players. Create an “In It To Win It” team if you’d rather play with other hardcore competitive players.

Both types of teams can win, so these designations are just so we can ensure like-minded players can find each other.

There are several ways to fill out your team.

  1. Invite your friends! You can send your favorite people an invite or even gift a registration.
  2. Find other GISH players on the GISH App: Download for IOS or Android, then look for other players on the GISH Map. DM them and invite them to your team!
  3. Find other GISH players on The GISH Bunker  Facebook group.
  4. Use social media to find other players. (Look for the #GISH hashtag!)

An open mind, a can-do spirit, a camera of some kind (a mobile phone camera is just fine), and some Internet access.

YES. We are committed to a safe Hunt. We have a list of Rules and Commandments to ensure that no one is endangered during the Hunt. We expect all participant to adhere to the rules and their local laws, including physical distancing and hand washing, to ensure that no one is put at risk by playing our game.

No, but it makes the experience more fun. We will be providing YouTube livestreams of all Zoom calls with subtitles as well. But to interact live with our guests, you should download Zoom.
